Mr. Gerry EganTitle: Executive Director & CEO
I’ve been involved with equipment leasing and financing in one role or another for more than thirty years. I started as a vendor, actively using leasing as selling tool, then went to work for a direct lessor, first as a sales representative then moving into sales management and eventually being responsible for the sales, credit, documentation and collection processes for all the company’s branches. After ten years there, I started my own brokering business and ended up funding my own lease portfolio as well as managing the leasing process for a community bank. Along the way, I’ve been active in industry associations, contributed written and recorded materials to various publications and done sales training and coaching, management consulting and strategic planning, expert witness consulting, and developed marketing and sales materials for a wide range of leasing and financing businesses and banks.
I’m proud to have been asked to guide the continued growth and development of a group with such deep historical roots and I am extremely ‘bullish’ on the future of NEFA and its ability to have a positive impact on its members and the industry at large.
